Since 2020, the Pacific Northwest Oak Alliance has used $52.6M in landmark investments to leverage $52M in additional funding.

This is $1 leveraged for every $1 invested; a track record this Strategy is positioned to continue. That leverage comes from a diverse funding base that values oak conservation: philanthropists, corporate donors, local governments, state and federal agencies, and individual landowners contributing their money, time, and land.

The Oak Accord was a voluntary conservation agreement inspired by the vision of landowners in the Willamette Valley (including vineyards and forest owners) who saw the value of native oak habitat and wanted to help preserve it. In exchange for signing the Oak Accord, landowners received recognition of their conservation commitment, guidance on restoration activities, quantified assessments of the results, and marketing tools to help them communicate their conservation work.
